Preroll Review: Rainbow Pound Cake Hash Paper Joint by PiXiE StiX
PiXiE me a winner! I had been eager to try a @shopstixofficial hash joint ever since I first saw one on here, in fact they’re half the inspiration for my own bubble hash cannolis (RIP Frenchy) as I aspired to replicate PiXiE’s perfect-looking shape and burn. Though not quite the strongest single roll I’ve ever had–shoutout @bluntdr_redd2.0 – this Rainbow Pound Cake 2×2 was a luxurious experience through and through with attention to fine detail that makes the difference for a self-described cannasseur.

The stamped wax seal, gold foil, numbered tag, and included matches make a statement: consume mindfully, this object was created to savor. A sweet, gassy fruitcake scent beckoned from the tube once the wax was removed, and to my surprise, the parchment wrapping the joint also contained a sample nug of the ground flower inside to experience in its own rite. I loaded it into my clean Sherlock and got a few hits of rich, flavorful smoke that began to apply cranial pressure.
Lighting the hash joint with the provided matches was effortless, as was the smooth draw through the flared glass tip. The sticky-sweet flavor, like pineapple upside down cake soaked in spiced rum syrup and topped with Maraschino cherries, persisted cleanly through the last fizzling hit as the burning hash crept past the edge of the filter. Inch-long snowy ash caps held together until brushed away, making for an impressive visual signature of PiXiE’s craftsmanship and flower quality. Though naturally more delicate to handle than a paper joint or blunt, the hash paper was robust enough to hold normally, pass with ease and resist any collapsing.
A floating buzz kept my feet off the ground for hours after the conclusion of the indulgent 25-minute session. It seems to me that so-called “exotic” strains like the one featured here don’t always hit the hardest, but prioritize flavor and smoking experience to the maximum. However, I was thoroughly satisfied with my first PiXiE joint and am freshly motivated to improve on my DIY version!
