Strain Review: Gelato 41 by Georgetown Flavors

Lineage/Genetics: Sunset Sherbert x Thin Mints Cookies

Review 3/4 of what I am informally calling the ”GTF Series” and we have our hands on some jaw dropping buds. The first photo is essentially unedited (minor cropping), and really shows the color pallet in the sunlight.
Gelato 41 has a dense, mint green bud structure with streaks lilac purple, draped in caramel-orange pistils reminiscent of christmas lights in an eye popping display.
Unlike other fruity Gelato strains, 41 seems to lean heavier on its Thin Mint/Cookies genetics. The inhale is predominately thick and earthy, but there is definitely floral and pine mixed in, and a hint of pepper on the exhale. Not “sweet”, but 41 almost has a smooth, caramelized glaze to its flavor.
41’s hybrid genetics are truly well balanced in feel, if not somewhat indica leaning especially in the evening hours. The strain is mentally calming with a pleasant uplifting effect on both body and spirit. 41 has a mild, relaxing overall body effect, but lacks a “weighty” feel tying you to the couch, making it suitable for any time of day. From a higher tolerance perspective, 41 was not overwhelmingly powerful or sedating, but was enjoyable due to its functional, therapeutic, and mood altering “feel good” effect.
