Strain Review: Grape Jelly by Lolo
New review time! @lolo.cannabis brought a drop of #grapejelly to the club a while back and I gave it a spin.
Lineage/Genetics: OG Glue x Sweet Purple D
Indica or Sativa: Indica dominant Hybrid
Original Breeder: Mary Jones and Uncle Spaceman
Grower: Lolo
Price point for this mid level was def acceptable as the nose on the bud was deep grape, blueberry, blackberry. Nugs were soft and light so hand breaking was a breeze but opted for the grinder. Nugs have a nice coat of trichomes, not a lot of purple leaf matter. Mostly green and lighter shades and not a lot hairs on em either. Smoke was sweet and smooth. High was shorter lived but for the price and at 18%THC, it won’t be a powerhouse but it does the trick to numb the body and cloud the dome.

Never heard of these folks before so I gave it the old “why the fuck not” and grabbed a bag. For middle of the road price point, I was impressed. Reads mid 18%THC content. Crackin the mylar bag open, rush of grape. Another whiff gives off blackberry vines…and cool mint maybe. The nugs were light and not dense. Easily broken by hand, a tad dry but not any rehydration necessary.
They look great out of the Mylar bag for the ticket. I’ve been pretty critical of other brands of higher points in ticket and THC but the flavor on the nose and on the exhale makes it hard to ration. All in all a great strain but @lolo.cannabis and @puffprerolls look hella similar in branding. Before posting this I ended up DMing the wrong brand asking a question. I guess brands should make sure your logo doesn’t match another? It creates a slight bit of confusion for my stoned ass. 😎
This guy is my to go to for mid day and afternoon smokes. Good breakdown and opens more of that grape jelly taste and scent on the fingers. Great high on the body and mind.
