Purple Icee Strain Review

purple icee by bucks brand strain review by toptierterpsma 2What’s up everyone? Happy Tuesday and hope everyone is relieved that IG is back up and running because that was a long Monday. Today I have another one from Bucks Brand and this is a little more purple (no shock there given the name). We’re going to run the review a bit shorter since we only had a small sample of this one but let’s get into it. The bag appeal on this was pretty cool. Brings back that nostalgia feel of growing up as a young child in the late 90s to early 00s and grabbing an Icee from White Hen Pantry. Correct me if I’m wrong but I feel like those slushees are non-existent nowadays. Upon opening the bag I was welcomed with earthy and almost nutty aroma on this one. The bud was a dark purple color mixed with light shades of green with a crystal-white coating. The texture was more dense than expected given the gelato-like smell that followed once the earthiness disappeared. The one nug (1g) I received seemed nourished but also a bit packed-in given the aesthetics. Nonetheless, the yield on the breakup was marvelous and who doesn’t get excited to see some nice purp get broken down. When I lit this up in an organic RAW I was shocked that it wasn’t as gaseous as expected given the initial nose to it. I could taste those earthy notes I received when first poking my nose in the bag. The joint stayed well lit, burned quite evenly and had a lighter grey ash on it (not pictured). To my surprise, I ended up getting an extremely fruity finish on this one as the taste of grapes and blueberries was evident as well as hints of citrus. This makes me believe it is some type of gelato x GDP cross but who knows with the thousands of variances that are genetically known nowadays. Overall Rating 8.2/10 The high was pleasing but definitely not crippling. I was pretty relaxed for an hour but the high did wear off relatively faster than I’d imagine; leaving me in a mood to smoke a little more afterwards. Personally, I feel like this could be attributed to the lightness of the smoke as I noted earlier. A nice nature walk around Castle Island was a perfect way to conclude this high. This could have the potential to be handled well in a public scenario but may not be as confident if I didn’t smoke as often. Overall, another strong one for Buck. Personally, did not favor this one as much as the debut even though both strains were vastly different. As mentioned, this is the second installment for a series of Bucks Brands reviews we will be conducting so stay tuned! 💪🏻
