Having had a majority of Cannatique’s vast candy lineup, I was interested to see how this new branded release of Blue Raspberry Gelato fared. With the branding being a colourful and artistic take on Cannatique’s demon emoji. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a rush of candy, displaying notes of goji berries, raspberries and blueberries with a hint of subdued blackcurrant, alongside an earthy and floral Gelato with hints of spice. Smelling faintly similar to Black Raspberry Gelato.

The buds were of a medium density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of medium green behind a blue shimmer and dark hues of purple with violet guts, barely visible behind an almost white thick layer of trichomes, alongside short messy rustic pistils. Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by a creamy influenced Gelato earthiness, alongside a subdued sweet infusion of dark berries.

The taste of this mildly sweet, creamy floral earthiness was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium grey, alongside an oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I overall found BRE to deliver a fairly average and mildly sweet candy profile with distinctive dark, spicy overtones. With further dialling in required, BRE can be further improved and serve as a good choice for those who don’t like overly sweet candy profiles.
