Blue Agape Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
Erik’s Score: 8.2
The Maven brand always has put out some really interesting genetics that produce great flower, so when I saw this Blue Agape around in the half ounce bag I had to smoke it. The nugs were dark and sugary and super eye catching, but they weren’t super dense and did have a little more than usual stems.
When I opened the bag I immediately smelled a super sweet and creamy aroma with strong notes of blue gelato, purp, with a light wood finish that is really impressive. Broken down, the same aroma came out but with a touch of funkiness. The nose definitely didn’t disappoint on this strain and it really stayed true to is name “Blue Agape”.
Moving on to the flavor and smoke quality, the first thing I noticed and stood out was how smooth the exhale was. The sweet and creamy profile makes it so the smoke just flows effortlessly as you breathe out your hit. No harshness what so ever.
The effects are indica leaning with a light slump that leaves me functional and able to focus, but after smoking more the high did get heavier getting me ready to lay down or sleep and I felt no stress or anxiety. The high is not crazy powerful but it still puts me where I want to be. The head high is a little euphoric with a light pressure on the top and back of my head. My eyes felt slightly lowered but not too slumped helping me stay awake for first part of the high.
Overall I did enjoy the half ounce bag of Blue Agape, the look of the flower is awesome, flavor is solid, and the high has no downsides. The only thing knocking points of is going to be the stems and lack of density in the flower, I did find myself picking out a lot of mini annoying stems. I probably would not buy again but if you haven’t or had tried it let me know what your thoughts are. Cheers 🍻
