Aromas: Neck Bones carries a very complex aroma as I’m picking up notes of earth, sweet, gas, and a little bit of funk. It’s like a sweet and pungent earthy profile. When I break open the nugs a super complex sweet, earthy, and funky smell comes out and altogether it kind of smells like food. I was also getting light notes of a unique gas. Overall a grade A aroma.
Flavors: The taste is similar to the aroma where it’s kind of hard to grasp an exact profile because of how many different complex flavors I’m getting. I’m picking up notes of earthiness, gas, sweetness, and funk. Altogether it just makes for a really smooth smoke and is sure to leave your pallet interested for more. It also leaves a funky smell on your lips similar to the GMO strain.
Effects: Neck Bones is a very potent smoke, after just one rip I felt a heaviness come across my face and body. It’s not as heavy as the Oxtails strain from Gooniez, but still packs a strong punch. I noticed that the high was heavier in the head and the body was still energized enough to be productive.
I enjoyed this strain very much but with that said if I had to choose between the two I would choose Oxtails. Oxtails is just a little heavier and more full-bodied. With that said do not count out Neck Bones as this strain checks off all the boxes and still reaches the 90th percentile. If you have tried both what would you prefer, Neck Bones or Oxtails? Cheers 💨
