ZOG Cold Cure Live Rosin Review
Appearance: when I first got this one in the car from the shop it looked like a dense cakey badder but after letting it get to ambient temps it starts to sweat beautiful glistening pools of terps that are just immaculate to look at. Visually it is similar to a lot Z crosses I’ve seen in rosin form in terms of coloration. It has that palish blonde hue that almost reminds me of lemon meringue pie filling. Fresh out of the fridge it’s a borderline chunky badder but it definitely will soften up quick with the amount of terps floating around in there.
Aroma: So unlike Zcube I’ve had last year the nose on this one is really OG forward with a backend of that Creamy Z with a dash of funk. There’s a sharp crisp pinene smell that transforms into more of a sweet vanilla Chantilly crème with an undertone of a sour grape fruity zkittley candy-ness
That just invades your nostrils. When I first smelled it my nose was just assaulted with OG terps. So much so I thought I wouldn’t smell much Z but she comes out to play at the end for sure.

Taste: The flavor on this one is super kushy right off the bat. It’s got that piney loamy soil type essence that’s earthy but also has a deeper dimension of sweetness that reminds me of a thick coating of vanilla cake batter in a mixing bowl. There’s some sour candy like zkittley undertones there but it’s not the main standout in the terp profile palate wise. It certainly has the OG expansion to it. I didn’t cough but I was surprised by the pressure on this. Smooth but definitely let’s you know she’s there.
Effect: This pheno feels like it’s 70% OG Dominant. I still get that spacey euphoric feeling from the Z but the kush just lays down the hammer and successfully absorbs all of the energy and will from my body. Like some kind of motivation vacuum. It’s not a bad thing just not a social high at least not to me. It makes me feel extremely relaxed to the point where my mind is quiet without having to try. It’s physically relieving as well. Muscles are a lot looser and I can see myself easily drifting off to sleep after a good size dab or this. Pretty typical of most heady OG’s. No complaints from this guy.
Overall: This is the first time trying Errl Hill rosin but definitely not the last. This product was incredibly well made especially for the price point. I love Z and OG so it didn’t really matter to me what manifested more but it was definitely the OG in this one. Nothing much else these days brings the pressure that a solid OG brings to the table. Definitely worth a try. 🤙
