This Purple Lemon Tree was a solid smoke. If youβre not familiar, TenCo they cultivate living soil flower out in California and built a strong rep through consistently putting out good product like their staple Blue Zushi.
Visually, the bud wasnβt anything too wild. It had a nice green color thought it wouldβve been more purple. It had dense trichomes, and bright orange stigmas, but overall, nothing that really stood out in the looks department. The nose, though, was where things started to get interesting. I picked up a sweet cream scent, pretty much straight gelato 41. I was really hoping for some lemon notes, given the name, but those were mia. There was a faint bit of gas in there, but again, no lemon, which was a bit of a letdown. Flavor-wise, it followed the nose pretty closely. No lemon here either, unfortunately. It leaned heavily into sweet cream with faint gassy undertones honestly, it just tasted like a sweeter version of Gelato to me, not in a bad way at all, just not what the name had me expecting. One thing that I always play close attention to is background noise and this one had little to none very smooth and flavorful throughout the whole doink. The burn was great with for the most part white ash with a bit of pepper and a solid resin ring. The high was the standout to me with a potent, relaxing high and exactly what I needed to zone out and throw on a movie for bed. Heavy high but not overwhelming by any means a classic couchlock in my opinion.
Overall, TenCoΒ did a solid job with this one. If youβre a fan of gelato heavy profiles, youβll be into this. Just donβt go in expecting any lemon citrus, and youβll have a good time.
