Banana Zamune Cannabis Cultivar (“Strain”) Review
The only things that struck me in the eyes and nose were an Ecuadorian landrace – of shrooms, a hashmaker from up in the hills, and a collection of fire indo from NorCal.
When people say they’re bringing NorCal fire to SoCal – they usually mean they’re bringing some CentralCal. Not the case here.
This is the type of fire that you only get to experience if you get your hands on the winning pheno from the breeder themselves. It’s atypical to be able to talk genetics at a sesh and usually I just get lots of horrible suggestions for what the “closest thing” to what I’m looking for is. Sure this Banana Zamune isn’t haze, but it is definitely zaza. I wonder if the Banana Zamune
flower’s fresh enough to still be gassy. Hints of the banana runtz candy in banana bread form notes, definitely on the butterscotch end if they had a banana flavor. it’s not burn your nose hairs gassy, but it is build up in a jar and set the stage for layers kind of gassy. The modern, floral adjacent cover. Like they sprayed the gas leak with a weird unreleased flavor of febreeze.
Given the biscotti lineage in Banana Zamune, i’m not surpised to find that hint of floral tinged gassy sulphurness which Abstrax has used 2×2 chromotagraphy to definitively identify as coming from not a terpene, but a sulphur compound.
The dry hit is where banana and even a bit of fizziness come through. The taste of the smoked rolly (my pathetic lil 1 gram joint without a glass tip) was actually surpassed by the taste of it in my dynavap. it’s a wonderful happenstance when it’s obvious that the larger the doink, the more exponentially better tasting it is because more vaporization is happening than combustion at any given point in the first half of the doink. No wonder Doinkernauts love dzodzo flower.
Hits like a MACK truck and a lil bit of a fruity Mac 1.
Happy to report that the high has pressure behind the eyes. kind of feels like a good long exhale.
I know it’s a crowdpleaser high when it causes me to lose track of time looking at plants. A proper high with mostly euphoria and full body relaxation with a lil bit of pain relief and just enough focus to stay awake to enjoy it all.
Only Pushin Pressure delivered on its eponymous promise.
If you’re an indo heady head, your first stop when you roll into the sesh needs to be OPP. Skip the opps, head straight to the tops :).
