Aromas~
This G41 cut was a very unique one because it carries the classic G41 aroma that’s sweet and earthy with a touch of sherbet, but it also has a very dank and funky overlay that’s intoxicating to the nose. The funky part of the aroma is like a dirty soil or earthy funk, and it becomes much more pungent when broken apart. Overall a nice twist to the great G41 strain.
Flavors~
When it comes to the flavor you’re getting Gelato 41 notes of sweetness, earthiness, and a light dank sherbet aftertaste but that wasn’t very consistent. I was also picking up some starchy cookie hints. The smoke is smooth and creates no harshness. Lung expansion is good and it’s easy to puff on like all Gelatos.
Effects~
Family Cut 41 is perfect for those seeking relaxation with a clear headed high and good focus. The uplift and euphoria it brings makes it good for day smoking while still keeping your body mellow. There is no real big body high, and It can be smoked at night but it definitely is not the best night cap if you’re trying to get knocked out or super stoned. The head buzz is floaty and light and it’s an overall soothing hybrid high that’s not aggressive in potency but also not too weak to make me disappointed. With that said I have definitely had more potent G41 cuts than this.
Overall~
To conclude I enjoyed trying this 41 cut from Highmart because 1, I’m a big fan of the strain, and 2, I’m pretty sure this was my first Highmart review. I’m giving the strain a B grade because it’s a staple strain and they grew it really well, but I just can’t go higher as the effects were not as potent as other G41s I’ve smoked from other brands.
