Oishi has a very nice and refreshing aroma. The first aroma I am picking up is a sweet candy sherbet with dank tropical notes. The background has a light pungent funk, with some notes of wood and fresh grass, but the sweetness is what’s dominating it most. The smell of this weed is very consistent with every inhale surprising me. If I had to explain it to someone in simpler words, I would say it smells almost like a funky ocean flavored candle.
If you’re looking to smoke on something all day that won’t punch your lungs up too much then this is the strain for you. Flavor wise it follows the aroma pretty well with a sweet light fruity candy taste with a funky refreshing profile. The smoke is so smooth on the strain so when I was taking big bong hits, it was exhaling like butter.
Oishi is a well balanced hybrid high. I was able to get things done when I needed to and relax and sleep when I wanted to. The high isn’t the strongest you’ll come across especially coming from Ted’s Budz, but this could be ideal if you’re looking to smoke something throughout the day that’s uplifting, but not energetic and keeps the body relaxed with no sedation or slump. The head high and mindset are very clear while the eyes have a very light sag to them, but they are still alert and awake. The body high is light, but still relaxing with versatile effects to do nothing or be productive.
Overall Oishi was an interesting smoke. It’s very smooth from aroma to effects. I feel like some people might not think it’s strong enough for them and will pass it up, but others might love the versatility to not be totally slumped out during the day if needed to be at work or just be productive all while having a light sense of relaxation throughout the whole body. The flavor was cool and I think my favorite part was how smooth it was so if I needed to consistently smoke something throughout the day that didn’t put me out and my lungs out due to the strong smoke then I would reach for this. I would recommend this for day smokers or someone who likes a hybrid with medium strength effects. Cheers 💨
