Permanent Rainbow Cannabis Cultivar (“Strain”) Review
Appearance: Now this flower has some of the best bag appeal I’ve had in a long while. It’s completely saturated in deep violet hues that are contrasted by thick orange yarn like pistils. It is so iced out it almost obscures the colors underneath. There is the occasional green guard leave every once in a while but it still looks really pretty. I can definitely see the influences from both parents in the visual aesthetic.
The breakdown on it is super sticky! You could break it down by hand but it’d be tough.
Aroma: This one straight burnt my nostrils.
It starts off with an offensive skunky gas that somehow manages to mix with the essence of a blueberry waffle. There’s another layer of some fermented fruit that smells vaguely tropical. Maybe some guava? It comes back around to that chemical astringency that dominates this profile. Almost smells like varnish a little bit! Definitely an interesting combination.
Taste/smokeability: This specific cross is a palate stainer. It’s a mouth coating fruity adhesive type of flavor that is just amazing. It’s got some of that blueberry waffle flavors going on but then that transitions back to gas. I can definitely taste the influence of the RS11 but that Permanent marker just steals the show for this profile. The smoke was really smooth with pretty minimal expansion. No real urge to cough even on big rips of it. The ash burns pure white with moderate oil drippage with a roll.
Effect: This stuff had me slumped the first night a tried it. 😂 It’s really sedative but euphoric at the same time. I wanted to watch this new movie but I just couldn’t keep my eyes open after about 30 minutes I passed out. 😵 The second time I tried it during the day I was able to hang a bit better. It was still kinda sleepy but I was able to ride it out without getting too tired. It gives me this dreamy atmospheric feeling that I really enjoy. This is definitely a good sleep aide or just late in the day strain when you don’t plan on doing much else but being sedentary.
Overall: I was really excited to try this one when I heard they had it and it more than lives up the to Hype. I’m a big fan of the permanent marker so this one was a big winner for me. They better keep this one around for a while because it’s definitely going to make some waves. 🤙🏻
