Edible Review: Garlic Chili Oil by Farm & Florist Infusions

I was looking for something different in the edibles section of my favourite online dispensary, I stumbled upon this Garlic Chili Oil by Farm & Florist Infusions.  Since I’d been planning to make my own infused chili oil recently, I thought I save myself the hassle and give this oil a try. Coming in a cute 30mL screw cap bottle, inside a larger bag with the customary childproof zipper closure, I was disappointed with the lack of labelling on the bottle itself.  The outer package contained all the information that one would need, but once opened someone is going to throw it away and you’re left with a bottle with nothing but a THC symbol on it. Containing 10mg per bottle, it won’t last long anyway so maybe there’s no need for such labelling but it feels like an oversight. The flavour of the oil is great, but not pungent.  If you’re looking for a powerful garlic taste or heat in your oil, you will be disappointed.  However, to appease to the greatest number of palates, this oil will work beautifully.  It has a good consistency and I was pleased to see from the package that Farm & Florist Infusions used olive oil as the base oil for this product, extra points for that! Olive oil is heart healthy and has a good number of health benefits that will boost the health benefit of the cannabis being consumed alongside.  Bear in mind that olive oil has a lower smoke point, so be cautious if you’re heating this oil. In my opinion, I would prefer an oil with much more spiciness, otherwise I would have bought a regular infused olive oil, which this company also makes.  Farm & Florist focuses on culinary oils like infused truffle oil, sesame oil, tamari sauce and honey and maple syrup, all handy pantry items. For those sensitive to ingested THC, this is a great option.  Stronger tolerances will find it cost prohibitive at 10mg/bottle. Rating: 6/10
