Rainbow Z Taffy Cold Cured Rosin Review
Appearance: This is some beautiful cold cure! It’s pretty pale but has some blonde hints to it. When I first got the jar it was still super cold and had the frosted look that cold cure has fresh out of the freezer. This chunk of rosin reminded me of a pad of butter melting on top of a hot pile of flapjacks. I let it stay at room temp for a little bit to see if it would sweat and it sure did. This is definitely some eye candy. The packaging is well made but easy enough to cut through. It’s a chunky badder out of the fridge but if you leave it out a little bit it softens up a lot. Really easy to work with.
Aroma: This one has one my favorite noses I’ve had all year for rosin. It is an AGGRESSIVE Zkittles profile with a little something extra in there. I smell a strawberry and ripe banana purée but there also a bit of sour kiwis as well. It almost has a creamy sherbet dimension to it that I really like. It is so pungent that I’m able to still smell it strongly even through my horrible seasonal allergies. That’s impressive! The only other scent I get is like a slight creamy vanilla at the end. It’s one of those profiles that are so nice I just want to keep opening the jar over and over again.
Taste: It expresses very similarly to the smell! Creamy strawberry jammy type flavors come through with hints of flambé banana and vanilla. There’s some other fruits in there like tart cherry and a little bit of mango.🥭 It finishes with the a nice sour candy Z terp of flavor that is super palate staining. There’s a nice bit of expansion at the end that just lets you know it’s there. Not harsh at all.
Effect: This one is very very very strong. Hits behind the eyes immediately. I can actually feel them become red in real time. I just want to sit down and become an extension of my couch. I got so high from dabbing the rosin for this review that I almost forgot this section of this review entirely. 😂 it’s definitely not a wake and bake kind of strain unless your plan is to do nothing but watch movies and consume mass amounts of calories. For the weekend it will be perfect! It honestly makes me feel kind of spacey in good way definitely relaxing vibes from this one.
Overall: I was turned onto this brand CA oilers by chronicconfectionsca. They put out an impeccable product that just shouts high quality in every aspect. This is my first time trying any of their rosin but I dare say it won’t be the last! If you ever see their hash don’t hesitate to scoop some. Definitely recommend. 🤙
