Although with a majority of the Don Merfos lineup being different Runtz and LCG crosses and phenotypes, as I have not had this particular new release before, I was interested in seeing how it fared. With the detailed branding referencing love in Spanish. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a familiar candy aroma, delivering sugary sweet notes of cherries and strawberries, alongside a citrus and gentle earthy Gelato gas, complemented by light sour traits of pine and chemicals.

The buds were of a mixed density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of light green with sporadic hues of purple, behind a thick layer of almost white trichomes, with messy rustic pistils. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by an infusion of gas and candy, exhibiting a syrupy sweet infusion of cherries and strawberries, alongside a gassy earthiness with traits of sour citrus and chemicals.

The taste of this fairly sour syrupy chemically gas was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both relatively smooth and tasted clean.

To conclude, I overall found Amor to deliver a fairly average candy profile with distinctive sour and gassy chemical undertones, smelling marginally sweeter than the taste. With further dialling in required, Amor can hopefully be further improved, although may not need a place on Don Merfos’s already expansive candy lineup.
