Appearance: This eighth consisted of four nugs 3 of which were medium and one small. All of them are positively resin encrusted. Like the snowy peaks of the Swiss alps these gals are just shredding powder. The coloration is dark purples and darker forest greens but everything is so covered in resin it’s actually hard to tell.
The breakdown is nice and fluffy. Not sticky not dry just perfect. I feel like the type of resin this cultivar produces would be great for dry sifting. The packaging itself was well designed and properly shmancy looking Mylar. It’s always nice when the flower lives up to how fancy the bag is.
Aroma: This gal stanks! In a good way though. 😂 as soon as I bring me the vac seal I was hit with a pungent stench that made my go “Gotdam!”. It’s a typical LCG profile but with a little more oomph to it. The Sweet gassy cherries are associated with a sour almost astringent lemon-lime zest. With the mix of the cherry, lemon-lime fuel combo it almost reminds me of a cough medicine. there’s a definite fresh pine type of essence that compliments a predominately candy forward profile that really rounds out the scent for me.
Taste/Smokeability: This one tastes like some properly cured flower. 🤌🏻 It’s a little more gas forward on the palate but it transitions pretty quickly to sweet cherry with an effervescent lemon lime coming through that is really pleasant. It has that gassy doughy piney flavor that I associate with most gelato/cookie crosses. The smoke itself is really smooth with minimal expansion. I was sent a 2g roll of this flower to accompany the eighth and it smoked clean and even. Solid resin rings and thick stacks of white ash. The ash structure stayed solid until more than halfway through the roll. Props to the roller!
Effect: it’s both physically and mentally relaxing. My shoulders feel nice and loose but I’m not overly tired to where I can’t focus. This a pretty good all day hybrid in my opinion. Nice calm vibes without being straight up snoozy. I’d say if smoked this before bed you could probably sleep but I’d also wake and bake with it too. Super versatile hybrid with adequate amounts of pressure that let you know she’s there. I have a pretty high tolerance and this kept me pretty elevated for a solid few hours which is longer than most flower gets me these days.
Overall: I was super grateful to receive this sample from Ibearound.exotics! I’m always down to support fire growers no matter where they come from. Being a California boy my whole life I haven’t had much opportunity to try quality east coast grown flower but this one more than lives up to the hype. Hit up the man himself and get yourself a bag. 🦾🔥
