With a majority of Zourzop’s flowers smoking well, I was interested to see how their fairly new candy lineup fared, starting with Jugo De Tuna, with the the branding referencing Prickly Pear Juice translated in English, displaying the brands iconic cartoon Zourzop mascot alongside a pear. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a rush of candy, displaying uplifting refreshing notes of pine, menthol and cream alongside an expected citrus and cherry candy infusion. The buds were of a medium to hard density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of light to medium green with a slightly aged golden coat, alongside messy rustic pistils and layered in trichomes.
Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by a syrupy infusion of citrus and cherries, alongside a Gelato earthiness with distinctive creamy and menthol traits. The taste of this uplifting influenced LCG was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I overall found Jugo De Tuna to deliver a sweet candy profile with distinctive refreshing notes of Zlushi. Despite this release seeming fairly aged or hindered in transport, it still smoked well however may have scored higher if fresher. With further dialling in required, JDT can be further improved and remain a distinctive candy cross on the Zourzop lineup.
