With Tenco starting to release new strains in their new packaging, I was interested to see how this appealing cross of their Yellow Zushi with Diesel fared. With the branding continuing the sea food theme. This review is slightly backlogged and they have now changed the branding slightly (but the flower remains the same). Upon opening I was greeted by a distinctive infusion of a chemical earthiness with Zkittlez undertones, displaying light sweet floral notes with hints of grapefruit, cherries and cream. The buds were of a hard to medium density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of light green, alongside messy rustic pistils, harbouring a universe of trichomes.

Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by Original Diesel’s distinctive chemical and earthy Skunk notes, complemented by a subtle creamy floral and zesty backend exhibiting its Yellow Zushi lineage. The taste of this mild infusion was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean.

To conclude, I overall found Oyzters #5 to exhibit its lineage effectively, delivering a distinctive taste of chemicals and Skunk alongside lighter than anticipated notes of Yellow Zushi. Although I personally didn’t find the genetics to complement each other as well as expected, it smoked fairly well, ticking some boxes and with some further dialling in required, Oyzterz will serve as a good choice for enthusiasts of Original Diesel dominant strains with a hint of sweetness.
