The bag appeal on Honey Apple Crisp is superb. The chunky, spear-shaped nugs are primarily bright green with a thick layer of barbed, amethyst-toned leafage. A pastel sheen radiates from each bud, generated by a thick coating of trichome frosting that’s comprised of elongated stalks and colossal resin glands 😍
The nose on the HAC is striking. The fragrance is initially earthy and spiced with some deep, pungent skunkiness. Breaking the flower down reveals a ripened green apple fragrance with an undercurrent of smooth, silky doughiness, all accented by a sugary, cinnamon-like zest. The overall aroma is rich and heavy, possessed with an ambrosial, seasoned gas thats further delineated by notes of cinnamon, allspice, and roiling diesel 🍎
The taste on HAC is remarkable. It has a spiced dough and ripe apple flavoring that’s rich, fruity, and slightly sweetened. The exhale is herbal and earthy, intensifying the further it burns and leaving a piquant, fall flavoring on the lips. The zest of the cultivar is so potent it’s palpable – sizzling on the tongue and pulling at nostril hairs at an increasing intensity on each hit. The overall expression makes me think of apple pie filling that’s taken an extra tumble or two through the spice cabinet before being thrown in the oven 🥧
The effect on the HAC is outstanding. It’s a moderately-heavy high that impacts both cognitive and physiological functioning. It eases feelings of pain and tension in the body, provides a faint feeling of external numbness, and creates a stupefying cerebral effect in higher doses. The flower is sticky, moreso when broken, and generates a moderate amount of kief when ground. It burns smoothly and consistently all the way down 😶🌫️
All in all, I enjoyed the Honey Apple Crisp. It has astonishing bag appeal, a satisfyingly heavy high, and an expression that’s a unique blend of fall fragrances and flavors.
