Cultivar Review: Mendo Cake by Steep Hill Mendo
Nose is earthy and doughy with a little bit of sharp something – gas or citrus. There are layers to this that go way beyond cake. I’ma take a wild guess and say that’s the mendo :). I’m not talking about the genetics or lineage of the plant, but rather the “taste of the place” as Frenchy Cannolli puts it. The terroir.

Mendo Cake Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
The high from this hits right on exhale. The headchange is instant, and ironically, it feels like forming up on the block before a race. Maybe the race has even started already, but I don’t care, because I’m zooted and poised to feel even more chillaxed. Time’s dilated, and the pressure behind my eyes make eye movements feel like that stop motion effect when the light is flashing on the dark dancefloor. The body high on the other hand, is the exact opposite of the energy from that dark dancefloor. Moving fingers on the keyboard is about all I can manage. This Mendo Cake is hands down the best cake I’ve tried all year. This is the kind of bud that the “when you find out during your break that that ish wasn’t work weed weed” meme was created to warn about. Good thing it’s the weekend because I want nothing more than to lay back in the couch and watch or listen to something until I’m hungry enough to cook up a feast. Highly recommended. Based on this first try of Steep Hill Mendo, I’m definitely excited to cop some other cultivars.Founder of The Highest Critic
