Having thoroughly enjoyed Rare Exotics debut release of Yuzu Zhushimi, I was interested to see how their Dragonfruit Z fared. Arriving with some of the most captivating branding and artwork designs I have come across on a jar. Upon opening I instantly received a unique musky, smoky and equally exotic pungent aroma, primarily displaying sweet and sour notes of blueberries and cherries against a floral creamy earthy OG gas, exhibiting both its Sherbanger and Z Animal lineage effectively. The buds were of a medium density and had a hybrid structure.

They were a shade of light and medium green, barley visible behind a layer of purple, alongside messy rustic pistils and absolutely drenched in trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering a floral Sherbet gassy influenced earthiness with creamy and smoky traits, complemented generously by notes of pungent blueberries, cherries and light strawberries with subdued minty undertones. The taste of this sweet Sherbanger infusion was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling.

The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light grey, alongside an instantaneous oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, despite not being overly enthusiastic of Sherbanger crosses, I overall found Dragonfruit Z to deliver its lineage effectively, probably being one of the tastiest Sherbanger crosses I have tried with a generous amount of sweetness produced, which normally struggles to overpower the Sherbanger. With a little further dialling in required, DFZ will easily remain a distinctive staple of both Rare Exotics and the market in general.
