How “Sativa” are Sativa Dialed In Gummies?

I’ve seen Dialed In Gummies in many corners of the country – in the hands of reviewers I respect, even in states that I didn’t know carried Dialed in Gummies. They are a sought after brand – and I got to interview their CEO Max to figure out what it is behind Dialed in Gummies that has brought them so much success- but also what it is about DIlaed in Gummies that still needs improvement.

While they might not be as dialed in as I’d like. That is more of a fault of the legal markets in which Dialed Gummies has to operate in. In this day and age, legal cannabis industries do not have the consistency in cultivar selection necessary for downstream companies like Dialed In to be able to provide consistent cannabis inputs based on cultivar.

Dialed In Gummies are as Dialed In as they can be, but still not dialed in enough for me

Dialed In Gummies splits their gummies into many flavors, but they are categorized as indica, sativa, and hybrid. See a problem forming? Taste wise, these are top tier gummies and flavors. Texture on point. High wise? These are not consistent products because the sourced biomass changes way too damn often.

As an example, their Sativa line is not always the same “Sativa” cultivar, in fact I wouldn’t even consider some of the cultivars going in to be “Sativa” – and just like pretty much every other edible company, Dialed In Gummies is at the mercy of their supply base which is not growing longer flowering cultivars.

In December 2024, Dialed In Gummies’ had a super silver haze as the input biomass for their Sativa gummies. In January 2025, they switched to Strawberry Lemonade as the input biomass. SSH and Strawberry Lemonade are not perfect substitutes in fact they’re pretty bad substitutes in my mind. Changing out a terpinolene dominant for a Myrcene present or limonene dominant cultivar is not OK to me – but I quickly realized that this is the standard practice in every single legal market. In 2025, other input biomass for their sativa line included Sour Zkittlez and Cherry Cake. To me, this represents the least dialed in part of Dialed In Gummies.

In this lineage blind and short flowering time obsessed industry, Dialed In Gummies tries to do things right. They only work with trusted growers, and source 7/8ths of their materials from local licensed growers, not multi state operators.

They’ve also innovated beyond just gummies to liquid gummies aka solventless simple syrup. The thing that Dialed In Gummies does that I credit with their success is that they use cured flower and they even use cured trim as input materials. This allows for a more full spectrum high in all their products.

Some states they work in charge for biomass per THC potency – others do not. All in all, by being willing to take on interesting and older flower or trim, Dialed In Gummies actually has the widest variety to choose from and they specialize in choosing the flavors that really meld with their gummy flavors – if not the claimed high profiles. The aforementioned Strawberry Lemonade? Paired with strawberry flavor gummies. 710’s papaya went in a papaya flavored gummy. These things matter too, and represent Dialed In Gummies’ most dialed in aspects.

All in all this leads to delicious gummies but inconsistent highs that do not match the false dichotomy of India and sativa. Every Dialed In Gummy I have ever tried hit me like an indica dominant hybrid – more accurately referred to as Afghanica dominant. They were all delicious though.

Chalk it up to a lack of diversity. When Dialed In Gummies starts making “real” sativa dominant gummies (accurately referred to as Indica dominant)

In the meantime I will continue to lament the fact that cultivars that take under 10 weeks to flower are being sold as “sativa” even in gummy form. When a proper 24 week flower’s trim is turned into gummies, dial me up. Seriously, whoever does it finally. Dial me up and I’ll help you dial it in.
