Aroma~
Animal Face has a very fresh and powerful earthy aroma that is pungent and will fill up the nose with all its vibrant terpenes. I’m picking up hints of pine, bright forest, and also light hints of burnt popcorn. When I broke it down a very funky aroma came out that’s very different from the initial bag aroma, it adds some type of gas which is reminding me of almost a methane gas. Very pungent and smells very potent.
Flavor~
The flavor is very refreshing and carries that earthiness that is in the aroma. The flavor consistency is great and it’s a very smooth exhale with great lung expansion. The smoke is pretty thick and doesn’t have any harshness whatsoever. Not too exotic of a flavor but the consistency and great earthy terps makes it very enjoyable.
Effect~
By far my favorite part of this strain was the effects. It’s a very relaxing, pretty sedating, and potent feeling. Animal Face is a heavy high so it’s best to use for unwinding or recovering. I wouldn’t use it to be super productive as it wants you to couch locked and relaxed instead. My mind gets a heavy feeling change that slows things down and that can calm any racing mindset. I found it really good for sleeping so I kept it around for my midday naps or when I was ready for bed.
Overall~
To conclude I was very happy that I found this strain by Kaya Farms. This was my second time trying it so after going through a half ounce I definitely would recommend this to everyone. It checks off all the boxes but with that said I will say the quality of the flower is the only thing that could be improved if possible. I did notice it was a little stemmy and had a little dryer of a touch. If that was different I really think that this could have been up there at like a 97% maybe even a 98%. Still, the strain is amazing and receives a well deserved score of 93%. Cheers! 💨
