I love a good infused gummy, especially as someone who makes edibles at home. Homemade gummies are good but often lack the same texture and consistency of their store bought brethren. Not to mention that despite getting quite a few in a batch when you make them, they can be tedious to produce.
Wyld Real Fruit Gummies are great for a number of reasons. They have good texture, a nice tartness that couples well with the sour apple flavour and an ingredient list that showcases ingredients I can actually pronounce.
At 5mg per piece, 2 pieces in the pack, they’re not for one with a high tolerance. But you probably won’t get into trouble with these either which is what Wyld is going for anyway. It does however, make them an expensive edible to buy whether you can tolerate 5mg or not. If you need more than 10mg to feel the effects, you’ll have to buy several packages. If you want to have them on hand for when the mood strikes, again you’ll have to buy several packages. This gets expensive, a drawback to the current Canadian legislated limits on edibles.
A positive about buying these gummies is that they come in compostable packaging so hopefully they’ll break down in the landfill (or your backyard composter) unlike many other packaged edibles. They do of course have the requisite child proof zip lock which I struggled to open. These child proof locks will keep out even the most determined edible lover but as I was about to grab scissors to open the bag, it tore just below the zipper and the gummies were finally freed!
