(Re)Legalize Nepal Official announces plans for Hemp and Hashish Museum

[FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE] Kathmandu, Nepal – Cannabis has been a part of Nepal’s history and culture for millenia, with both medicinal and religious significance. Help us Re-legalize cannabis in Nepal and free the plant globally for a chemical free conscious next generation of humanity. Cannabis has been illegal in Nepal since the 70’s – a direct result of the United States’ War on Drugs. Legalize Nepal founder, Heman B. Shahi, wrote:
“While the war on drugs has been fought for decades, it’s time for Nepal and the world to take a different approach and end it by legalizing cannabis globally. By doing so, we can not only reduce crime and violence associated with the black market, but also generate revenue for the economy and provide access to medical cannabis for those in need.”
The legalization effort in Nepal is moving forward on the ground in Nepal but also internationally with support from orgs like Legalize Nepal Official. Feasibility studies for medical marijuana as well as a bill supported by the country’s Health Minister are just the first steps in our effort to re-legalize cannabis in Nepal. As part of our global commitment to re-legalizing cannabis – Legalize Nepal recently sponsored the 1st Ganja Cup in Thailand. Join us in raising funds at our events around the world and also a future Hash and Hashish Museum at Pashupatinath Temple. Support Legalization of Cannabis in Nepal. Sign the petition on Change.org.
