Blue Sour (1 gram) by Passion 4 Hashing

👀: This rosin came in a jar with a sleek design—a blue background featuring the Portland skyline, which added a nice touch. The fresh press itself was impressively clear, just the way I like it. You can actually see how transparent it is in the jar photo—clear enough to read the “single source” sticker on the bottom without any trouble. There were a few air bubbles trapped in it, but nothing excessive. Overall, it was a clean and appealing presentation. 8.5/10

👃: The aroma on this one was just okay. Honestly, I say it every time—fresh press never seems to have much of a nose like cold cure. This one had a faint, earthy note to it, but that was pretty much it. 8/10

👅: The terps on this one are straight-up fire and I actually enjoyed it more than the Moroccan Peaches, which honestly surprised me. The flavor had this earthy sour vibe with just the tiniest hint of sweetness, and I mean tiny. That said, fresh press always makes it tough for me to pin down the full terp profile since it just doesn’t hit as hard in the flavor department compared to cold cure. 8.7/10

Overall: This Blue Sour was a mixed wash made from Blue Cookies, AJ’s Sour Diesel, and East Coast Sour Diesel. @passion4hashing mentioned the batch size was only 8kg of WPFF, so there wasn’t much of this Blue Sour floating around. Luckily, I got my hands on some before it disappeared, and honestly, it was solid. That said, I wish I had scored it in cold cure—or better yet, full melt. Fresh press just doesn’t deliver the flavor punch I get from cold cure or full melt. For me, it’s not about the texture or scooping; it’s all about flavor, and fresh press just falls short in that department. That being said, this was some of the clearest fresh press I’ve seen in a while—like looking through a freshly cleaned window. Overall, it was an amazing fresh press, even though it confirmed that I’m just not a fan of fresh press to me its just very flavorless. Props to @passion4hashing for crafting yet another banger wish I waited for it to cure. 8.4/10
