Cat Piss Kush Cannabis Cultivar (“Strain”) Review
Appearance: The first thing I thought when I saw this flower is that it looks greasy. I was right! The coloration is a mix of bright lime greens with some darker forest green accents accompanied with a occasional fleck of purple. The resin is so thick it almost obscures the flower underneath. This flower came to me from the east coast and it still has perfect moisture content while still breaking down very nicely. I really miss beautiful green flower like this. It’s definitely a treat for the older heads like myself.
Aroma: That classic cat piss stank! This profile is pretty rare these days. I’m a fan of funky ones like this. It expresses like frequently used litter box but in a good way? 😂 underneath that oppressive pissy stench and a more of a sweet earthy kush. I can definitely taste the bubba in there with that loamy coffe like essence lingering around. This one came to me in a layer with a lot of bags. I thought it was overkill at first but this ho stanks. It’s so powerful just having it in my pocket for a while made my pants smell like it. That terp transference.
Flavor/smokeability: This one translates almost perfectly from the nose. You get that pissy ammonia funk with almost a dash of cheesiness in there I didn’t get from the smell. It then meanders into that sweet earthy kush territory. There’s some slight pineyness to it with a tiny bit of fuel to but it’s definitely an afterthought compared to the stronger notes in the profile. Its smokes so impeccably smooth. No coughs at all. Ash is white but not bleached snow status which is fine. What I loved about this one is the longevity of flavor. After I hit it I can still taste it an hour later. They don’t make them like that much anymore!
Effect: it’s a pretty even hybrid for me but can tend to be pretty sedative if you smoke a lot. When I first tried a snap of it I instantly felt in a better mood. I went grocery shopping afterwards and bought borderline too much fruit but everything looked so good! 😂 Before that I was sent back out to look for my daughter’s toy at a park nearby our house we were this morning. Turns out she was bamboozling me and had it hidden at home. 🏡 I was even mad I just had to laugh. After I got home and put my kids down for nap I was able to relax a bit and watch some trash TV. It lasted like almost a full 2-2.5 hours before I felt like smoking more. Pretty long when paired up against a lot of modern hybrids.
Overall: I’m really glad Bobby turned me onto this flower. This was a breeding project he had a part in a while back and I’m a big fan of cat piss. I haven’t had terps like these in easily a decade. I’m very impressed with the quality of this flower! Bronsonfarms threw down. I’m not from the east coast but my friends that are tells me the guy only puts out quality products of which I have no doubt. I really hope I get a chance to try something from this grower again they killed it with this run. 🤙
