Haley’s Comet Cannabis Cultivar (“Strain”) Review

Appearance: The look of this made me instantly nostalgic. It is some beautiful green flower that is absolutely drenched in resin. It’s almost hard to see it though because this gal is hairier than the floor of a barbershop! It almost reminds me of cousin it from the Addams family. Honestly, I haven’t seen any flower like this in years. It has that classic hazey structure and the nugs on this are all really big actually. The breakdown was nice and fluffy while still having a decent amount of tack to it.

Aroma: This one again, is different than most modern profiles on the market. There’s a distinct sweetness that reminds me of some kind of fermenting fruit I can’t exactly put my finger on but then that quickly transitions into more of an ammonia type of smell that almost stings the nostrils a little bit. Underneath all that I get some slight hints of anise and even a little bit of pine too. It’s definitely more earthy funky chemically than sweet but it’s an interesting balance that I really enjoy for it uniqueness.

Taste: It definitely comes through more on the earthy side but that ammonia type essence pokes through as well. It’s a full bodied smoke that’s pretty nutty/woody too. This type of flavor just really seems to be natural in every way. This is the profile that the people were smoking 40-50 years ago and it’s still a hitter today. I notice some of that vague sweetness at the end but it’s not a standout in what I taste. The flower itself was pretty expansive. I had some coughs but it wasn’t a lung buster by any means. The ash was salt and pepper but more on the white side. It smokes great in a roll. No runs or need to relight.

Effect: This is where this strain shines the most to me. The first time I smoked this. I went on a drive to the store to pick up some groceries I forgot. This got me so elevated off of two hits I drove my car in dead ass silence for about 20-25 minutes just completely locked in on what I was doing. It almost has a psychedelic pressure to it that I kinda like. This is a soaring mental high that is energetic yet soothing at the same time. I could smoke this and clean my house or chill and listen to some music. It’s pretty versatile in that way but it’s definitely more of a creative/inspiring kind of strain. I notice decent pain relief and some anxiolytic effects after a little while this does make me a little tired but it’s not super lethargic in nature. Like the other haze strain from Bronsonfarms I’ve tried this lasts a looong time. It’s like 2 hours at least before I feel like I’m back to baseline.
Some strong medicine for sure. 🦾

Overall: This is one strain I was really excited to try. Notillbobbyhill told me about it a while back and it sounded like something I’d really enjoy. I really like funky profiles with mind bottling borderline psychedelic effects and this just spoke directly to my soul and gave me exactly that. If any of you ever get a chance to try this do not hesitate! Pick it up and don’t put it down until you’re on a journey. Especially if it is immaculately grown like this by the man himself Bronsonfarms. 🤙
