πŸ‘€: The rosin had a clean look with an orange tint likely from the mimosa which tends to be darker, and a nice wet look at first. The texture was slightly dry at first butΒ  after a day it just became completely dry and unstable turning into crumble with that chalk like appearance, which made it hard to handle and brought down the looks score. There was no jar art on this one, just a sharpie label since Permaculitivator does this for personal use. I don’t factor packaging into the score anyways, but still worth noting. 6.4/10

πŸ‘ƒ: The nose on this one was straight up mimosa with a sharp, zesty citrus that hits you right away. It was loud the moment you cracked the jar. What stood out was the lack of any garlic note with it being a gmo cross, it literally smelled like you were mixing up some Tang, with just the ever so faint hint of garlic, like someone was cooking with garlic in the next room. I definitely enjoyed the nose on this one. 8.2/10

πŸ‘…: The taste was straight mimosa just like the nose with that sharp, sweet, and tangy citrus profile. It reminded me of a citrus punch, almost like the powder drink Tang if you’ve had it. If you’re into that citrus heavy terp profile you’ll really enjoy this one. I was surprised there wasn’t any GMO coming through either, which worked in its favor for me, since I’m not a big gmo fan anyways.

The only downside was the background noise. If you know me, you know how much I value a smooth dab. While the flavor was solid, the backend had a spicy harshness that made me cough more than usual but still I don’t think many people would find this as harsh as me, I’m just very picky to be honest. That harsh finish really brought the score down to be honest. I’ve said it before, but smoothness is just as important if not more important than terps sometimes for me at least. 6.7/10

Overall: This was my first time trying anything from Permaculitivatorand my first time trying any hash made in Minnesota and it wasn’t bad at all.

For those who don’t know though Permaculitivator is a grower and hash maker who’s been making rosin on and off for nearly a decade, strictly for personal consumption. He told me that this Garlic Cocktail was 100% organic, grown in living soil, grown for 8 weeks and was washed through 73-159u, likely his standard process for most.Β

The high was really enjoyable; it delivered an uplifting high making it nice for daytime use. I especially liked it in the Puffco before a walk or hitting the gym. There was only two main drawbacks for me and they were the dry consistency and the harshness of the dab. Those are things I weigh heavily in my reviews. A smoother and more stable texture would’ve easily bumped the score higher tremendously.

Still, this was solid hash. I told Permaculitivator I’m honest and picky with reviews, and he was fully open to feedback. For someone not competing or dropping jars publicly and just making small batch for personal use he’s killing it. I’d love to try more as he keeps improving cause he’s told me what he’s hunting and they all sound crazy. He mostly smokes his own work, so he doesn’t try other hash often so I’m hoping to put him on to some new stuff every time we get a sesh in. 6.8/10
