π: The look of this rosin was alright, it had a really nice, light pale beige color. However, as you can see in the picture, the consistency wasnβt the easiest to work with. The rosin had seeped all over the jar, and every time I opened it, I ended up with it on my hands. I had to wash up after each dab because it leaked from the inside to the outside, which honestly made me wonder how much Iβve lost that couldβve gone into a dab. Iβll blame that on the jar possibly being flipped during transit. If you had one that didnβt travel, you might not run into the same issue. The consistency was like a sauce super gooey and a bit unstable. By that, I mean it definitely wonβt stay in one place if the jar is turned on its side, which as you can tell isnβt really my favorite to work with.Β Now, the jar art? Easily some of the coolest Iβve seen from any brand. It came in bright green with a NASCAR-inspired theme, featuring bold decal designs that said βRDR,β βMendoja,β and βAward Winning.β They absolutely killed the packaging no doubt about that. 8.4/10
π: The smell on this jar was nice and definitely loud, no doubt about that. As soon as I cracked it open, I was hit with a gassy aroma mixed with a sweet, slightly piney undertones which all made for an inviting smell. There wasnβt much citrus upfront, but as I took a deeper whiff, I did pick up a subtle lemon note, kind of like a lemon scented cleaner in the background. It wasn’t sharp or zesty, more like a clean, lemon that lingered behind the gas and earthy pine. If I had to sum it up, Iβd say it smelled like a mix of Pine-Sol and gasoline with a tad bit of sweetness thatβs the vibe I got from it. 8.8/10
π : The taste from this jar was enjoyable I didnβt think Iβd be into it at first, but I ended up really liking the terps. It gave off a strong OGZ vibe with that sweet, earthy funk and a touch of fuel. I didnβt get much citrus from it, but it was there in the background but just subtle. The OGZ profile definitely overpowered the lemon terps in my opinion. What I appreciated most was that the OG notes werenβt too heavy on the palate. The OGZ terps came through well balanced making it smooth and not overly OGΒ intense, which made the overall taste really nice. 8.6/10
Overall: This was my second jar of Real Deal Resin, this time it was a collaboration with Mendoja Farms and we all know what theyβre about. I actually picked this jar up around March but forgot to post the review until now. There wasnβt much to complain about other than the consistency, which was pretty gooey and a bit annoying as it was all over the jar. One thing I do have to say, though, is that I wasnβt impressed with the price. Personally, I think the ticket was way too high for what it was. The rosin looked alright, and while the consistency wasnβt my favorite but the jar art definitely stole the show, normally I donβt want the packaging to be the highlight, but in this case, it definitely was. The taste was also good and it was smooth with no background noise making it enjoyable, and the nose was really amazing. The high really delivered definitely hits after a nice glob, no doubt about that. That said, itβs not a bad jar by any means, just one I feel could easily be outperformed by other options at a lower price point.Β
The main reason I grabbed this jar was because I saw that Real Deal Resin placed 4th in the Palace Melt category at Hash Angles 2025 and took 2nd at Motherβs Cup with Lemon OGZ cultivated by Mendoja Farms . Iβm not sure if this jar was that exact one, but itβs what caught my attention and made me pay the tax to try it.
Shoutout to Real Deal Resin and Mendoja Farms they definitely did their thing, but overall, I just didnβt find this jar particularly impressive especially for the steep price. If I’m paying the high I want the jar to be above 9.4 in rating personally but I do get that everyone is different and this could be that in some people’s eyes. I probably wouldnβt run it back, mainly because Iβm weighing how much I enjoyed it against how much it cost. Still, no doubt itβs a quality jar of rosin. 8.5/10
