Never having had Don Merfos’s rendition of this tasty strain before, I was interested in seeing how it fared. With the captivating branding referencing a popular Japanese anime television series, Dragon Ball Z. (Review created before new packaging released). Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a scent of refreshing peaches, alongside a faintly citrus, mint and piney earthiness, with sweet notes of cream, marzipan and cherries.

With traits reminiscent of the sweet scented ink from an old school pen. The buds were of a medium to hard density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of light green, appearing almost white due to a thick layer of trichomes, alongside thick messy rustic pistils. Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by a Gelato influenced earthiness with traits of cream and chemicals, complemented by a subdued but refreshing infusion of candy with sweet peaches and light notes of mint.

The taste of this fairly refreshing candy was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I overall found Duranzo Z to deliver a Gelato influenced mild candy with a touch of Georgia Pie, ultimately tasting like a Runtz with watered down traits of peaches and mint. Although not as tasty as I expected, with some further dialling in, Duranzo Z can be further improved and hopefully remain a unique staple of the Don Merfos lineup.
