High Octane Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

SMOOTHNESS: 8.5/10
ASH APPEARANCE: 8/10
STRENGTH: 9.4/10
OVERALL SMOKE: 7.8/10
With High Octane being a classic staple of Jungleboy’s lineup, I was excited to see how this recent batch fared. Boasting a modestly high 37.97% total sum of cannabinoids. Upon opening I instantly received a pungent gassy and earthy aroma, primarily displaying notes of pine, chemicals and fuel, alongside light floral traits with very faint sour lemon.
The buds were of a medium to hard density, having a typical Kush and OG structure. They were a shade of medium to light deep green, alongside messy rustic pistils, and absolutely coated in glistening trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by an earthy gas with creamy and light sour traits infused with skunk, chemicals, fuel and a hint of pine.
The taste of this primarily earthy chemical gas was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous oozing and dripping resinous oil. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean.
To conclude, I overall found High Octane to deliver a primarily earthy chemical gas with fainter complementary traits than expected. Despite the fairly mundane taste, HO did smoke pleasantly well, ticking most boxes and with some further dialling in required will always remain a classic strain, especially for enthusiasts of OG and Kush strains.
