Strain Review: Mambaz by Humboldt Beginnings x Howling Green
Mambaz Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review
SMELL: 9.5/10 FLAVOUR: 8.6/10 SMOOTHNESS: 8.7/10 ASH APPEARANCE: 8/10 STRENGTH: 9.1/10 OVERALL SMOKE: 8.8/10 From thoroughly enjoying Humboldt Beginnings and Howling Green’s “Zan Pellegrino Limonata”, I was excited to have been able to get my hands on their infamous Mambaz. Being an apparent undisclosed Runtz crossbreed. Upon opening I instantly received a rush of a vibrantly exotic infusion, delivering sweet and tangy mouth watering notes of cherries, blackcurrant and berries alongside distant strawberries, mango and pineapple undertones. This fruity essence was accompanied by a floral Sherbet and gentle piney and menthol gas. With the overall smell being reminiscent of the candy “Fruit Pastels/Morphs Now n Later” infused lightly with menthol as a reference. The buds were of a medium to hard density, having a hybrid structure. They were a shade of medium to light green with rustic pistils, behind dark hues of blue and purple with attractive pink guts, and showered in a layer of trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by mildly sweet exotic notes, not quite as intense as the smell but still exotically refreshing none the less. An infusion of cherries, blackcurrants and berries with trace amounts of kiwis and strawberries was accompanied by a floral sherbet and menthol earthy gas, with faint peanut overtones, reminiscent of a Dosidos. This well balanced unique sweet gas was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced light fluffy ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I found Mambaz to be a unique blend of a mildly exotic and earthy influenced sherbet gas, and although nothing too memorable it smoked clean and ticked most boxes. With a little further dialling in, Mambaz can be further perfected and easily remain a strong staple to Humboldt Beginnings and Howling Green’s lineup, catering to enthusiasts of both sweet and gassy strains.True & unbiased topshelf Cali flower reviews.
