Although not the most attractive Zkittles, the Original Z named in solidarity with Terphogz and Greenfieldz masterpiece, is always a favourite and is one of the only renditions on the market to retain its sweetness throughout. Upon opening I instantly received a rush of sweet candy notes consisting primarily of cherries and grapes, alongside a sharp zesty grapefruit backend. This tantalising sweetness described was complemented by distinctive sweet creamy undertones, smelling reminiscent of cream soda, with both profiles delviering a concentrated Zkittles aroma. The buds exhibited a typical messy Zkittles structure, having a medium to soft density, being a shade of light green, alongside rustic, messy hydroponic hairs, covered in a universe of trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering an extremely sweet and exotic infusion of cherries, grapes and grapefruit, accompanied by a fizzy vanilla creaminess, with the flavours complementing each other perfectly. The sweet creamy taste described is retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling, with a slight harshness noted through combustion. The joint produced ash being a shade of light silver, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring, and for the best part smoking smooth and clean. To conclude, although this particular batch unfortunately didn’t come out perfect, I have had numerous great batches of Original Z in the past (making it one of my top strains), so with that being said, I cannot be too critical. Original Z is one to never miss out on and despite this rare disappointment, I will definitely try again in the near future.
