With this being a collaboration between two big candy brands Cannatique and Yumberriez, I was interested to see how this infusion of two classic strains fared. With simple branding, referencing a bag of candy. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a sweet, creamy candy aroma, harbouring a strawberry, blueberry and cherry dominant syrupy centre, alongside piney overtones infused with a floral Sherbet and Gelato earthiness. The buds were of a medium density and had a hybrid structure.
They were a shade of light to medium green with hues of purple, harbouring attractive pink and violet guts, barely visible behind an almost white thick layer of trichomes, alongside minimal rustic pistils.
Upon inhaling, my palate was overcome by a creamy and floral Sherbet Gelato earthiness, accompanied by a subdued sweet infusion of cherries with dark berries. The taste of this mildly sweet, creamy floral earthiness was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of dark to medium grey, alongside an oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both fairly smooth and tasted clean.
To conclude, although producing a darker shade of ash than desired I overall found Pink Muffinz to smoke fairly well in comparison, delivering an average and mildly sweet candy profile, with influential triats of its Sherbet lineage. With further dialling in required, PM can hopefully be further improved and remain an ongoing collaboration between Cannatique and Yumberries.
