With a majority of flowers from Baydestrians smoking well, I was interested to see how their rendition of the now classic Rainbow Belts fared. With the branding referencing the famous candy packaging. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a faint but familiar floral creamy scent of Zkittles, with faintly fizzy cherry undertones, complementing a subdued earthiness with peanut traits. The buds were of a medium to hard density and had a hybrid and Zkittlez structure. They were a shade of light green alongside minimal rustic pistils and showered in trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by notes translating from the smell, delivering a floral and syrupy creamy infusion of cherries and faint grapefruit, alongside a creamy earthiness with traits of peanuts and menthol. The taste of this faintly sweet creamy and nutty earthiness was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, although with Rainbow Belts generally being a watered down Zkittlez, I overall found The Baydestrian’s rendition to deliver its lineage effectively, smoking adequately well. It ticked most boxes and with a little further dialling in required hopefully can be further improved leaning towards the Zkittlez side and remain a staple of The Baydestrians lineup. With it currently catering to those who enjoy a touch of Zkittles with not too much sweetness.
