From encountering a few different strains from Hollyhood Boyzz, I was interested in seeing how their newly released limited drop of Yellow Zkittles fared. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a familiar scent of Zkittlez. Displaying an exotic, tangy and creamy infusion of notes consisting of primarily sweet cherries, alongside sour and zesty grapefruit and a creamy and faintly piney gas.
The buds were of a mixed density, having a typical Zkittlez structure. They were a shade of medium to light green with messy light rustic pistils and absolutely covered in trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was overcome by mildly sweet and tangy notes consisting of cherries and grapefruit, alongside a dominant creamy earthy gas, with light traits of caramelised onions.
Through combustion the sweet notes began to dissipate ever so slightly, turning partially sour, leaving a taste of this mildly earthy Zkittles retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium to light grey, alongside an instantaneous oozing and dripping resinous oil ring. It smoked relatively smooth and tasted clean.
To conclude, although the sweetness of Yellow Zkittles is more apparent in the smell than the taste, it smoked reasonably well, still delivering a familiar Zkittles profile. With further dialling in required, hopefully YZ can be further improved and command a strong place on Hollyhood Boyzz lineup.
