Not having had any Zkittles Cake by Jungleboys for a while now, I was looking forward to trying this lovely strain once again. With it being a cross of two great classics, Zkittles and Wedding Cake. Upon opening I instantly received an ever so slightly subdued but familiar Zkittles scent, displaying floral and sweet notes consisting of primarily red grapes and cherries, with a light infusion of cream and grapefruit. This sweetness was accompanied by faint cakey undertones with notes of Cookies and traits of Kush Mints. The buds were of a medium density, having a typical Jungleboys appearance and Zkittles structure, being a shade of light to medium green, alongside sporadic rustic pistils, and covered by a universe of trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was instantly overcome by a sweet candy and cake essence, displaying an infusion of cherries, grapes, cream and strawberries. This sweetness was complemented by an evenly balanced Cookies and Kush gas, with subdued undertones of pine, sugar and mints. This unique blend of flavours is retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling, with a faint harshness noted. The joint produced ash being a shade of light silver, alongside an instantaneous oozing resinous oil ring, smoking relatively smooth and tasting clean. To conclude, with Jungleboys delivering a nice flower a majority of the time, in the case of Zkittles Cake, they manaSeparateged to maintain quality and did not disappoint. Although not amazing, I found ZC ticked most boxes and exhibited its well suited lineage perfectly. With some further dialling in required, maximum smoothness can be achieved and get ZC at its full potential.
