African Haze #11 x Spritzer #3 Cannabis Cultivar (“Strain”) Review

Appearance: It has a beautiful mix of lighter lime greens with some darker olive hues. The pistils are wirery burnt brown and abundant. I’ve never had the African haze straight up but from what I’ve seen online this one has a lot of the classic piffy morphology. The resin coverage is really great you can definitely see aspects of the mac in there too in that regard. It’s just some beautiful green flower which is really refreshing. These jars came many thousands of miles and when I opened them everything was fresh and beautiful. Moisture content is on point and the breakdown has a great texture for rolls.

Aroma: This one is pretty Mac forward on the nose in my opinion, which is great because Mac terps done well are super special. At first I get some trix cereal with flint stones vitamins in there for good measure. There’s also a kind of yogurt type essence to it. Behind all that sweetness is this chemical astringency that kind of tickles the back of your nose if you smell it deep enough. It’s like if La croix made a paint thinner flavored soda water. Lastly there are woodsy herbal earthy type facets that really round out the profile.

Taste/smokeability: it’s Definitely sweeter at first with those Mac terps knocking at the door but then I get a lot of what I imagine are the more hazy aspects to the flavor. It’s a woody gritty and a little wild. I kind of tasted a little bit of what seemed like an adhesive of some type. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Maybe a little hairspray? Not unpleasant at all just an eclectic mix of flavors that are very different but mesh well together. The smoke was smooth but expansive. No coughs and ash a lighter shade of gray. The roll I made had pretty decent sized oil rings.

Effect: So this one starts off with some pretty serious cerebral pressure. I’m sure you folks have heard of the headband effect well this made me feel like I was wearing over the ear headphones. Never had that before! It’s creative and stimulating at first but then gets pretty sedative after a while. Muscle relaxation is a great benefit from this strain but like I said, If you go hard enough this will put you to bed. 🛌 munchies are there but not too crazy. What surprised me was how long it lasted. It must be from the haze because most moderns strains keep me elevated for an hour to 90 minutes tops. This has me going strong for 2-3 hours.

Overall: I am super grateful to Bronsonfarms for providing this one for me to try. He’s famous for his AF#11 cut and adding cannarado’s spritzer into the mix was a winning combination that added a lot of value to the cross. If you’re ever in Maine and see this man’s flower just know that it’ll be goddamn amazing.
