Sour Starburst Cold Cure Rosin Review
Appearance: I’ve noticed most the rosin I’ve had with sour in it looks pretty similar. This one was pretty spot on with what I’ve come to expect. Pale yellow to opaque coloration and the consistency is always a beautiful saucy badder that I just love. It’s still pretty easy to work with but just don’t try and throw dunks in the banger because that stuff will stick to your fingers.
Aroma: cracking open the jar of this smells like walking on to a diesel refinery that somehow also has a candy factory on the same property. It reeks of gas but also has an underlying sticky sweetness that has notes of tartness and caramelized sugar. It almost smells like a sour diesel coated salt water taffy. This is a cross generational hit right here! Gas for the older heads and candy for everyone else. 😂 Jokes aside this is an extremely well rounded profile. It’s definitely one of my new favorites.
Taste: The flavor of this one is super gas forward! Coats your mouth like a fuel flavored mouthwash but then comes in with the sweetness on the back end. The sweetness comes through with the taffy but not quite as tart. It’s a lot like the smell but the candy like sweetness definitely takes a back seat to the diesel in this profile. It still has enough of both in there for a lot of people to be able to enjoy this one.
Effect: This is what made me fall in love with this one. It is so strong it pretty much dulls all my cognitive ability to a point where all I want to do is become sedentary and eat. It’s a perfect strain for a lazy weekend in. It comes on heavy hitting behind the eyes and just melting down your shoulders into a full body high. The mental aspect is there but it’s not super stimulating. It has a calming effect that can make one a bit sleepy if you overindulge. 😴 It also last a long time which is pretty rare for me. Like 2 hours plus.
Overall: This is one new my favorites by Overthemoon/Trinityhealingcrops. His starburst #36 breeding project has nothing but hitters and this is one! Full Flava crushed this extraction and I’m excited to see them partner on more projects in the future because These two artists bring nothing but heat to the table. If you got to try this flavor this year count yourself lucky because it was a limited run but I hear more will be available next season.
