Aroma-
Shocktane has a Sunset Sherbet nose that’s mellowed out by the High Octanee OG adding a light gas overlay. It’s not as bright as a straight SS would be so don’t expect that. When broken down the High Octane is released more creating a sharp and pungent gas sherbet/orange aroma. I think a little more earthiness from the OG would have been nice but I’m not complaining.
Flavor-
The flavor is probably where High Octane OG is most present because it’s gassy and thick. I am picking up a little bit of sherbet flavors but it is getting washed out by an OG gas. The smoke is very smooth but it is also very potent and powerful on the lungs causing them to expand greatly, possibly testing experienced smokers.
Effects-
I feel the Sherbet high with the euphoria and uplift but I also feel pockets of relaxing heaviness come on which must comes from the OG. Euphoria, uplift, and relaxation is so strong in the head after a bong rip that it makes me sit back and close my eyes. There is a strong amount of pressure around the top of my head. The body is relaxed but it’s more of a head high. If there was a heavier body high attached to it, it might have been a A+ for effects.
Overall –
Sunset Sherbet is one of my favorite hybrid strains of all time so when I saw it mixed with the High Octane OG I was pretty eager to give it a shot because I was expecting a strong sherbet flavor with a heavy body high. The aroma definitely promotes both strains properties well mixing a sweet sherbet with an octane gas but I will say I feel like there was a touch of something missing. For the flavor it was thick but smooth on the lungs and created an orange gas flavor with it being more gas heavy. The effects were strong and will leave your head buzzing, but with the lack of body high that did dock off some points. I still really enjoyed smoking this and I can see the potential of it getting better in the next grow. Cheers 💨
