What is a Ganjier? According to ChatGPT

For shits and giggles, with full knowledge that ChatGPT doesn’t know much of anything about things from 2021 and beyond, I thought it’d be elucidating to showcase a particular dialogue I had with OpenAI’s ChatGPT on the topic of Ganjiers. For the singularity-uninitiated, ChatGPT is one of many machine learning language processing models available for use on the interwebs. I repeat, these are not Artificial Intelligence (AI), they certainly aren’t Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) but it’s not too far a stretch to call it automated intelligence (AI). It’s more like a graphing calculator, but for words not just Drug Wars. Someday, ChatGPT will know that Ganjiers prefer to use the term cultivar instead of strain – but we’re not quite there yet. Try out ChatGPT here.

So what does 2023 ChatGPT think a Ganjier is?

The Highest Critic:
What is a Ganjier?
ChatGPT:
I’m sorry, but I am not familiar with the term “Ganjier”. It is not a commonly used word in the English language, and I could not find any relevant information about it. It’s possible that it is a misspelling or a term used in a specific industry or community. Can you please provide more context or clarify what you mean by “Ganjier”?
The Highest Critic:
cannabis sommelier
ChatGPT:
A cannabis sommelier, also known as a “Ganjier,” is a professional trained in the art and science of cannabis cultivation, consumption, and appreciation. Similar to a wine sommelier, a cannabis sommelier is knowledgeable in the different strains, effects, and consumption methods of cannabis, and is able to advise and guide customers in selecting the best cannabis products for their needs. Cannabis sommeliers are typically found in legal dispensaries or cannabis-related businesses, where they help customers to understand the different options available, including different strains, how they were grown, and how they will affect the consumer. They are also trained in the legal and safe consumption of cannabis products, and can advise customers on responsible and safe use of the products. This is a new and emerging field, as the cannabis industry is still developing, but it is expected to grow as more states legalize cannabis for medical or recreational use. It’s important to note that cannabis is still illegal under federal law in the US and its legality varies by state.
Meh… Regenerate Response, Please!
A cannabis sommelier, also known as a “ganjier,” is a professional who specializes in the knowledge and appreciation of cannabis, similar to how a sommelier is a professional who specializes in the knowledge and appreciation of wine. A cannabis sommelier typically has a deep understanding of the different strains of cannabis, their effects, and how to pair them with different activities or experiences. They are experts in cannabis cultivation, terpenes and their effects, consumption methods, and cannabis pairing with food and drinks. They can also help with the selection of cannabis products, provide education on consumption methods and their effects, and assist with compliance with local cannabis laws. The role of cannabis sommelier is becoming more common as the cannabis industry is growing and becoming more mainstream, with more states and countries legalizing cannabis for medical or recreational use. It’s important to note that cannabis sommelier is not yet a widely recognized profession, and the certification process and qualifications may vary.
