👀: The artwork on this jar was dope. The top sticker had a trippy holographic effect showing characters trapped in a jail, watching others ride what looks like a rollercoaster, with a little dog peeking in from the corner, a cool but weird touch for sure. The bottom sticker had the strain info alongside an image of a cheetah with a hunting face on, adding to the vibe. Inside, the rosin had that classic thumbprint style, with both the inner and outer layers being cold cure. I’ve noticed he’s been running more of that lately, feels like I haven’t seen one with the jam consistency in the center in a minute and I’m not mad. The outer ring (Wild Cherry x Piña 22 #13) had a super light beige color with soft yellow hints, while the center (Puro Papaya x Piña 22 #8) had a slightly darker, tanned beige tone. Both had the same dry but still wet consistency, if you know what I mean. It’s the type that slices easily but can be a little stubborn to scoop as it’ll drop off the tool. A solid whip would probably bring it back to a better texture. If the consistency had been just a bit better, it would’ve easily scored higher because visually, it’s stunning the moment you crack the jar. 8.9/10
👃: The nose on this jar was nice but not anything mind blowing. It had a sweet, tropical scent like a ripe fruitiness mixed with a kind of tarty smell. It also had that signature “Chris” smell too. I’m not sure what causes it, but almost all his jars have this unique, hard to describe the aroma you really have to smell for yourself. It doesn’t take away from the jar at all if anything, a lot of people enjoy the smell, and I know I don’t mind it at all. 8.5/10
👅: The taste on this jar was good, I try to try all thumbprints in three ways like described in the past I like to try a couple dabs of the outside, then inside and then a mix of both which is how your supposed to enjoy it. The taste on outside which is Wild Cherry x Piña 22 #13 had an interesting taste with sweet notes of pineapple in the beginning, and then on the backend I get more of a natural perfume like cherry flavor. The inside which was Puro Papaya x Piña 22 #8 had a a sweeter slightly papaya tropical vibe that was more refreshing than the outside in my opinion and I definitely see myself picking it over the outside. The lastly I tried both together as a pairing which is how the jar is supposed to be consumed, the taste on both was a sweet fruity with pineapple like notes coming out more than others very nice taste that just kept getting better as you inhale. 8.6/10
Overall: This jar from Chris was solid, not a standout or personal favorite but definitely a good jar of rosin. I grabbed it based on the crosses, which sounded right up my alley. The looks, smell, flavor, and high were all on point. There was a slight bit of background noise when dabbing, but nothing worth complaining about and most wouldn’t notice it. The high was mellow, not too potent but enjoyable and not weak.
I’ve had my fair share of Chris jars, and while this one just didn’t wow me or leave a lasting impression, it was still a quality jar I just wouldn’t run it back, but I wouldn’t be mad dabbing it again either just wouldn’t grab again. However if the flavor profile sounds like your thing, I’d recommend it, you won’t be disappointed that’s for sure. Shoutout to Chris for doing his thing as always. 8.6/10
