Having had Peppazzz White Cherry Gelato and Zkittlez counterpart; La Lola Bonita, I was interested to see if their Lemon Cherry Gelato variant fared any better. With the branding referencing an American tropical flavoured bubblegum. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a gentle Gelato earthiness with citrus and creamy undertones, complemented by a subtle tropical influence of primarily cherries, guava and grapefruit. The buds were of a medium to hard density and had a hybrid structure.
They were a shade of medium green alongside faint hues of purple, with minimal short rustic pistils and covered in a thick layer of almost white trichomes. Upon inhaling, my palate was overcome by a Gelato influenced earthiness with traits of cream and chemicals, accompanied by a subdued infusion of sweet and partially sour candy notes. The taste of this Gelato dominant candy was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling, with the sweet notes dissipating ever so slightly. The joint produced ash being a shade of light grey, alongside an instantaneous leaking and oozing resinous oil ring.
It smoked both smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I overall found Bubblejug to deliver a Gelato dominant candy profile, introducing lesser sweet notes than anticipated. It smoked fairly well, ticking some boxes and with further dialling in required (primarily on taste), can be further improved and remain a distinctive staple of the Peppazzz lineup.
