Next to review from Highmart is their Jordan Type 5, having tried and having mixed reviews on their Type 2, 3 and 11 counterparts, I was interested in seeing how this variant fared. With the branding carrying on the Jordan theme, delivering another candy cross. Upon opening I was instantly greeted by a syrupy sweet candy profile, displaying sweet cherry and strawberry notes complemented by a Gelato influenced floral earthiness with notes of pine, menthol and cream. The buds were of a medium to hard density and had a hybrid structure.
They were a shade of light and medium golden green with hues of violet and attractive pink and purple guts, coated in a thick layer of almost white trichomes, with minimal rustic pistils. Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by a sour earthiness with traits of chemicals alongside mildly creamy and candy undertones. The taste of this mildly sweet candy slightly dissipated upon exhaling leaving sour notes of a chemical earthiness.
The joint produced ash being a shade of medium grey, alongside an instantaneous oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both partially smooth and clean. To conclude, I overall found Type 5 to deliver a fairly below average candy profile, faring poorly compared to its other counterparts in the Jordan lineup. Type 2 was the most enjoyable. With this being said I’d probably cut this one out the lineup for future releases.
