Wet Paint Cannabis Cultivar (Strain) Review

Aroma Profile: 9.1/10 Nose Volume: 8.9/10 The complex terps lead with a barley wheat soy veggie hops / sour apple ipa funk that blends into a creamy doughy fritter herbal spicey gassy fuel layer, with a heavy chocolate- nutty presence, specific to peanuts with a creamy cookie buttery note to it. Behind that (& released on the break) is a nice tar/rubber/tire layer with a burnt rubber diesel fuel, that evolves into the skunky freezer burn pungency that hides purple lavender earthy swampy musky fresh floral foresty fuel that hides a sweet ripe banana cheesy Skunky fruitiness that makes some special guest appearances behind the savory doughy musky funky fuel profile. Appeal: 9.34/10 Nice short squat wide structured arrow head shapes, properly dense but w/ an open structure & nice leafy depths, the nugs are dark green, with hidden neon purples on the inners & bases, with darker purples hiding on the outers, the nugs are completely covered in thick dark orangish red pistil patches, of medium long length, combined with the clusters of medium-large, well defined resinous trichome heads gives the colas a greasy roasted toasted appearance with classic autumn (red/tan) overtones to the green/purple color scheme. The trichomes are wet, shining off the greens & purps with glistening streaks. The cure is well done w/ a crisp snap on the break up, but reveals a soft moist sticky pull apart with plenty of long trichome stretch. Amazing dry/cure/moisture/resin balances. Smoke: 9.4/10 Flavor: 8.9/10 Burn: 9.5/10 Ash: 9.5/10 Terp Ring: 9.2/10 Clean resinous smoke with white ash & a solid (fluctuating) terp ring, it burned semi-quick, but was really clean, smooth & consistent with flavor to the finale. The doughy, musky, chocolate, peanut butter & herbal spices combined heavily with the sour apple fritter barley hops creamy funk & earthy foresty floral runtzy pine-pungent fuel with ripe banana peel sweetness. Effects: 8.9/10 Potency 9.1/10 Onset: 8.7/10 Effect duration: 9.6/10 The effects were solid, nice and toasty, with a happy mood boost to along with the headband pressure that results in partially low eyes. The mind is calmed, with thoughts slowed, but definitely clear with easy going focus behind the haziness the headband offers. The body is full relaxed as well. The buzz is toasty but not sedating, it’s strong but it’s not overwhelming. It’s full bodied with plenty of entourage effects, ranging from munchies, to pain relief. The buzz isn’t peaking with power but that steady bake seems to go on for hours, already being 4 hours ago and still feeling that baseline chronic buzz going strong. Overall: 9.32/10 This Strain really blew me away with its strong box checking traits in every category, all the presmoke categories were impressive, the appeal was sexy, and well balanced in all its ratios, the terps were insanely complex, seemed like there was never ending layers of terps to discover in my Anyalsis. While that specific type of terp profile is generally not my favorite, this blend of it was actually game changing for me as I found this expression of the doughy nutty peanut butter cookie terps & barley hops funky apple to be rather delicious with its complex counter parts. The burn is what sealed the deal with its cleanliness, smoothness, and flavorful delivery. Love when a flower is beautiful, terpy, & smokes clean with effects that satisfy. You can tell it was grown with TLC. A solid 9.32/10 overall, not counting terp preferences would be closer to a 9.5 quality wise, but don’t get me wrong, it’s one of the best peanut butter profiles I’ve ever had.
