Appearance: This rosin has a greasy blonde visual aesthetic. It kind of reminds me of some sweaty honey. It has a pretty substantial terp layer and it can melt down a bit if it stays on the fingers long enough but it’s still pretty easy to work with. It’s interesting to see the same cultivars manifest through different colorations and consistencies but I really enjoy this one. It’s definitely more yellow than white but you don’t need to have a milky complexion to kick it in my fridge.
Aroma: Okay so this one comes through with straight up mashed gushers sweet sticky artificial fruit. I guess it could be described as pie-like but like the gas station pies not grannies home cooked confections. There’s a little bit of sweet sugar pine in there but the undertones are pretty gassy. Reminds me more of boat fuel than gasoline. I like how well balanced this profile tends to be at least on the nose. It has a nice blend of sweet candy mixed with earthy fuel notes to provide some decent contrast.
Taste: You really wouldn’t expect it from the smell but that pie filling essence I got from the nose takes a big backseat. Like the last row of a ford econoline. What does make a big impression is straight up burnt rubber and pine sap with a hint of pie dough crusts. That artificial peachy fruitiness is still there at the end but it’s kind of an afterthought to the gassy rubber aspect that pretty much dominates the flavor profile. It definitely reminds me a lot of Gelatti I’ve had in the past at least in the flavor department. The badder was smooth out of a rig and pen. Pretty minimal expansion.
Effect: I’ve been saving the last of this jar for a while because I use this when I’m either having bad back pain or I just can’t sleep. There’s some strains that make me kind of tired but this straight up makes it hard to keep my eyes open. My mind is completely at ease. I almost have a yogic calm that overtakes me whenever I use this. I don’t want to watch tv or read I just want to pass out. 🥱 My muscles relax and it becomes really easy to just melt into whatever you’re sitting in. I don’t use this one in the day time at all unless I just don’t plan on doing anything. Cookie crosses can tend to be on the more lethargic side but they definitely have their uses.
Overall: This is the last of the four jars I was recently gifted from Trinityhealingcrops and I’m really grateful for the medicine it brings me. 🙏 It’s a great flavor for gas lovers like myself and it just straight up knocks me on my ass. There’s a lot of rosin that looks pretty and tastes good but this one also happens to have the ability to roundhouse you like sir Charles Norris.
