Peach Melonz (2 grams) (90-149u) by Mad Hasher

👀: The looks on this one was really nice. As you can see in the image, I took a picture when I first got the jar in its fresh-press form, that’s the one on the left. I dabbed about a gram, then cured the other gram. The one to the right shows it after cold curing. In the fresh press form it was beautiful, nice and clear for the most part with a stained glass appearance and a few terp bubbles trapped inside. Once it cured, it turned into a creamy beige color with a wet, terpy consistency after a good whip. The jar art itself was pretty simple, nothing too flashy. It had a top sticker featuring a trippy, hippie-style character, possibly a stoned version of the Mad Hatter holding a wash bag I’m pretty sure which was a cool logo no doubt about it . There’s also a small side label with the strain info, 9.4/10.

👃: The smell on the fresh press was better than most I’ve had or even tried by that I mean I could actually pick up a bit of scent, which is rare since fresh press usually doesn’t give off much aroma. That’s because the terps haven’t been agitated or whipped yet, so they stay trapped in the concentrate, making it harder for the smell to come through compared to cold cure. This one had a light peachy bath wash or soft fragrance type of smell not loud, but the terps were definitely there. Once it cured, though and I gave it a nice whip, the nose really came alive. It developed into a rich, sweet, natural peach aroma that smelled nice, it was almost like standing in the middle of a peach farm. 8.9/10

👅: It has a very interesting taste in the fresh form it has a light mellow taste which is typical for most fresh presses in my opinion but everyones different. I usually don’t get that full, mouth-coating flavor like I do with melt or cold cure, and this one followed that trend. It had a soft peachy flavor, kind of like sipping on an unsweetened peach tea with just a hint of peachy sugar, but not overly sweet at all. However, once it cured up, the flavor became much more pronounced. That same mellow peach profile came through way stronger and finally had that mouth coating quality I look for. 8.8/10

Overall: This was my first time trying anything from Mad Hasher, and I chose to go with a single source jar rather than one of the collabs that were also available. It definitely didn’t disappoint and really impressed me actually not that i thought it was bad but just cause i don’t like fresh press and this was some of the nicest fresh press I’ve had in a while. As I said if you know me, you know I usually prefer cold cure or melt over fresh press because of the stronger smell and taste those tend to have.

That said, every now and then I like to revisit fresh press to see if my palate has changed and to give a fair review of what others are enjoying. While this didn’t make me switch my opinion on fresh press, it was still a standout. The cross Peach OZ x Papaya Melonz #7 caught my attention right away, the flavor sounded promising, and being stored in a freezer (especially in the Florida heat) helped keep it super stable and terp-rich. I really appreciated that another reason why I chose this. As for effects, this one hit nicely. I found myself reaching for it in the mornings while chilling in Florida, it delivered a relaxed high that was a great way to start the day.

Shoutout to Mad Hasher I’ve heard of the brand for a while and seen their work around, but this was my first time actually trying it. I can definitely see myself grabbing another jar when the opportunity comes up again.
