With Birria being a unique cross of two powerful strains, I was interested to see how it fared. Upon opening I instantly received a rush of citrusy lemon and sour diesel alongside a pungent earthy and nutty Cookie and Sherbet influenced earthiness, complemented by faintly sweet and creamy floral undertones. The buds were of a hard density and had a hybrid structure. They were a shade of medium to light green, alongside thick rustic pistils and home to a universe of trichomes. Upon inhaling my palate was overcome by a dominant Sherbert and Cookies influenced earthiness with distinctive peanut, chemical and menthol traits, complemented by undertones of a very subdued floral and creamy sweetness consisting of cherries and berries.

The taste of this nutty Sherbet earthiness was retained on my tastebuds upon exhaling. The joint produced ash being a shade of medium grey, alongside an instantaneous dripping and oozing resinous oil ring. It smoked both relatively smooth and tasted clean. To conclude, I ultimately found Birria to deliver its lineage effectively, exhibiting a strong infusion of Candy Fumez and Do-si-dos, delivering just the right amount of sweetness. It smoked fairly well, ticking most boxes and with some further dialling in required will remain a distinctive staple of Life Is Not Grape’s lineup, being a great choice for fans of earthy strains with the right amount of sweetness.
